About Me

Hey ya’ll! I’m Hope. A wife. A mom of 3. A blogger. Child loss survivor.

In 2023 our kids were 17,13, and 12. That summer we had the best vacation. Dusty and I talked about how our kids were “grown”. Our 17-year-old was acting like an adult!! We talked about how we couldn’t wait to rent a house for vacation and have our kids and their families there, Christmases around the tree with our grandkids opening their gifts. I kept saying, this has been the best week of my life. I’m so excited for the future. Little did I know, that was going to be the last best week of my life.

My son, Trenton, turned 18 years old on November the 2nd. I made the Facebook post of how I’m so proud of the man you’re becoming, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you. Little did I know he only had 16 more days left on this earth. November 18, 2023, is the worst day of my life. My firstborn and only baby boy left this earth unexpectedly while duck hunting with his friend. Talk about life changing and absolutely earth shattering. I literally felt my heart break into a million pieces that day. It was an out of body experience. I couldn’t control what I was saying, what my mind was thinking, rolling around on the floor, screaming to the top of my lungs, just in complete shock. I think back to what my 2 daughters must have been thinking. I couldn’t comfort them because I couldn’t control myself.

Within a week I was given names of Facebook groups to join. I joined them and immediately started commenting and speaking with other moms. If you know me that would shock you because I’m a closed off person but there is a connection like no other. I honestly know how you’re feeling, and it sucks!! I worked in the medical field for 10+ years because I love helping others, and I knew that I want to help others who are hurting like I am.

If you’re looking for a place to talk about your grief, a place of love, and no judgement, you found the right place. Our life is hard in so many ways. Still trying to be a wife and mom is hard, but I want to make my son proud. So I get up and do what I have to do every day! So welcome and I hope you stick around.

All the best,

Hope
